what happens when white light hits a glass prism?

the white light will travel through the prism and split off into different colours to form the rainbow.

is the light white all the way through the prism?

no id say it turns different colours about half way through.

what happens if the color of the laser beam is changed?

if the color of the laser is changed it might effect the outcome of the rainbow but im not entirely sure.

do all colors behave the same?

no.

how do the different colors behave?

if the color is a color of the rainbow when it travels through the prism it stays the same color but if it is white then it turns into rainbow.

do they refract in the same way?

yes they do.
